Robert Tindall is our guest  for a fascinating conversation about his new book, “The Shamanic Odyssey” published by Park Street Press. Robert is a professor of English, a classical guitarist, a world traveler, and a researcher of the shamanic experience.

Robert teaches literature and researches shamanism and has noticed some startling similarities between the experiences of shaman and their use of medicine plants and the experiences shared in  Homer’s classic tale, The Odyssey.

We also discuss insights from Joseph Campbell’s teachings, and  shaman like experiences as described in the modern classic, The Lord of the Rings, by J. R. R. Tolkien.
