A deeper look into the question, can we REALLY experience our “future” as a “memory,” the same as we remember our past?
Dr. PMH Atwater is back with us this program for Part 2 of our FAR OUT conversation on Futire Memory. Based on her own experience after having three near-death events, Dr. Atwater, didn’t just spontaneously “see” her future, she experienced her near future in the same way one would remember the sequence of events from a memory of the past!
Having studied the field of the paranormal, she knew her experience was not precognition, clairvoyance, déjà vu, or a flash-forward. She didn’t just “see” the year in advance, she experienced it. Being of an inquiring mind, Dr. Atwater set about to study what she had experienced and discovered that she was not the only person to have had a future memory and that the experience is related to the near-death experience. She also discovered that future memory is more common among those that have had near-death experiences, but not limited to those that have had NDEs.
This certainly brings into question the notion of Free Will and Destiny. Are the outcomes of our life the result of moment-to-moment decisions and choices? Or are we experiencing an unfolding of a predetermined life?
