BURNING MAN, Contemporary Phenomenon, An Insider’s Look From Brad Olsen 2-29-16

Burning Man veteran Brad Olsen shares the history of the Burning Man Event and exactly what it's like to experience "The Burn."

Dateline: 3.1.16 The Burning Man Festival is arguably the most far out event of our modern times. Yes, Mardi Gras has been around for a long time and there are other big time annual celebrations that are more “party” than anything else.

Brad Olsen has been to the annual Burning Man festival many times and I asked him if he'd like to come back to specifically talk about The Burning Man event. But Burning Man is different.

It's a PARTY, that's for sure, but it's not just about drinking and dancing in the streets. The Burning Man event has become a mecca for artists, creativity, and people wanting to experience a different kind of community.

As you are listening, do a Google image search for, "Burning Man." You'll be amazed. In 2015 the Burning Man event had 70,000 attendees.

And what's most amazing is the "Leave No Trace" policy. In other words, a few weeks after the event, it looks like no one has been there! Have you seen what sports stadiums look like after a game? Maybe we have something to learn from Burning Man. – Scott
