  •  Were the parts from James Dean’s wrecked Porsche 550 Spyder truly cursed?
  •  Was one of the four Aston Martin DB5 James “007” Bond movie cars dumped in the ocean?
  •  Was a wealthy oil heiress really buried in her exotic Ferrari 330?
  •  Would the unusual batwinged-styled rear fenders of the ‘59 Chevy actually lift the back end of the car off the ground?
  •  Did a rocket-powered ‘64 Impala really do 350 MPH? Did someone really build a Ford Pinto that could fly?
  •  Was modern dancer icon Isadora Duncan indeed strangled when her shawl became entangled in the wheel of her lover’s Bugatti???

The answers to the above questions and MANY more are in the book! We discuss the authors' favorite stories!!

Listen to Part 1 Here.  A Shockingly Alternate Look at the Lewis & Clark Expedition and More Unusual History With Author Xaviant Haze.

Our guest is independent historian and author, Xaviant Haze. He returns  to our program to get into more shocking details revealed in his  book, “The Suppressed History of America: The Murder of Meriwether Lewis and the Mysterious Discoveries of the Lewis and Clark Expedition” published by Bear & Company and co-authored with Paul Schrag. In September 1809, Meriwether Lewis, then Governor of Upper Louisiana, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself twice and then slashing his wrists but does that ring true? Xaviant gets to the suppressed version and much more.

It’s too bad that the “history” most of us learn from public school isn’t this interesting. If it was, perhaps more of us would have paid better attention in our history class. What goes on behind the scenes is anything but boring. That is as true from the past as it is today. Just because the people that lived two hundred years ago didn’t have today’s modern conveniences, doesn’t mean that there weren’t ulterior motives, hidden agendas, and suppressed findings.

Okay Boomers, let’s do some time trip’n with Dave McGowan, back to the crazy, hazy dayz of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Location, Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles County, California! Yes, somethin’ was happen’n there, and it wasn’t exactly clear. Until now. Rock historian Dave McGowan will take us back to the groovy pad called “The Log Cabin” and we’ll hang with Jim Morrison, David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Neil Young, Jimmy Hendrix, Frank Zappa, The Mamas and The Papas, Mike Nesmith, Cory Wells, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and on and on, Man.

Any one who was anyone in the rock scene in the ‘60s and ‘early ‘70s drifted through Laurel Canyon. Why? To quote from our guests series, “Perhaps Neil Young said it best when he told an interviewer that he couldn’t really say why he headed out to LA circa 1966; he and others “were just going like Lemmings.”

So put on a tie-dye t-shirt, this will be, “Far Our, Man!”

or Making Sense of “Kids Today.”

PM H AtwaterOur Guest is  Author & Researcher, P.M.H. Atwater. During this show she discusses themes from her  new book, “Children of the Fifth World".

One of the fun things about being an aging Baby Boomer is finding yourself thinking and saying things, then hearing a faint echo… from your distant past… The echo of similar things you heard when you were a child, things said by your elders… It usually starts off with, “Ya know… These kids today…” And then it goes on from there…

When I was in high school, I had a hip, young English teacher named Mr. Thompson. The girls all looked at him with dreamy eyes, but he could talk football with the guys, so he was okay. One day Mr. Thompson read an essay from one of the ancient Greek philosophers. The funny part was that this ancient Greek writer was complaining about “kids today.” Yes, it’s an age old issue.

Clark-McClelland-FB-Graphic-72Former NASA Flight Engineer, Clark C. McClelland is interviewed by Far Out Radio Host, Scott Teeters  covering Chapter One of Stargate Chronicles on Jackie Gleason, Richard Nixon and UFOs.

Having grown up in the ‘60s, there was nothing more “out of this world” than the Space program. After all, human beings have been looking up at the Moon for eons with wonder. For the longest time, those that pondered “going to the Moon” were considered foolish, crazy, or mentally ill. You know – lunatics. The excitement of living in a time when we would actually “go to the Moon” was like the dream of mankind come true. It was truly bigger than life. The astronauts were the modern day advanced explorers and those that made it all happen at Cape Canaveral and later The Kennedy Space Center were the “smartest of the smartest” of our time.
