Why GMO labeling failed in Washington State by Jon Rappoport

no gmo lablesby Jon Rappoport- republished from nomorefakenews.  Here’s a question for you. During the campaign for prop 37 in California, and the campaign for Prop 522 in the state of Washington, the ballot measures to label GMO food, did you see political ads like this:

“Hello. My name is… I’m a researcher with a long track record. I study what’s in your food. I know that Monsanto, the company that puts genes in your food and sells a toxic herbicide called Roundup, which is also in your food, wants Prop 522 to fail. They don’t want you to know what’s in your food. I’m willing to debate Monsanto anytime, anywhere. Their GMOs and their Roundup are toxic, unhealthy. Vote Yes on 522, so you don’t have to eat Monsanto.”

The ecofriendly material is the main component of a prefrabricated wall system called Hembuild – a mixture of the plant’s woody core and a lime-based binder.

The system was supplied by Hemcrete Projects, an English housing company that specializes in hemp-based construction.

So far, two prototype houses have been completed in the Achabeag township, both with very different designs.

Do You Know Who Actually Owns the ORGANIC Brands?

genetic foods7by Catherine J. Frompovich as republished from Natural Blaze  Money is being spent BIG time in offensives against GMO labeling bills introduced in various states. One humongous battle—over $7.2 Million worth and counting—that currently is going on, is in the State of Washington regarding Initiative 522. Mike Adams of NaturalNews discusses that here.

Regarding the defeat of GMO Labeling Proposition 37 in California in November of 2012, Common Dreams says this:

Opposition of Proposition 37 was spearheaded by large agribusiness and chemical companies—such as Monsanto and Dow—and big food manufacturers—including PepsiCo, Nestle, and Conagra—who dumped more than $45 million into the fight. Monsanto, a leading maker of genetically engineered seeds, contributed $8.1 million alone against the measure which would have required labeling on genetically modified food. (Source) [CJF Emphasis added]

Recently, the apparent illegal activities of the Grocery Manufacturers Association in Washington State were uncovered, i.e., “the Grocery Manufacturers Association got caught red-handed violating Washington state fair election laws by running a money laundering slush fund designed to conceal the identities of food companies giving money to block  I-522,” as Mike Adams points out.

Back to our USA Roots with Wonders of Hemp Harvests Returning!

Historic Hemp Harvest in Springfield, Colorado 2013. KRDO News footage of the first legal hemp harvest in the United States in more than six decades (above).

Story below by George Peele as republished from

Hemp.Ryan LoflinRyan Loflin just gave Uncle Sam the bird–and made history in the process. On Saturday, October 5, the Colorado farmer and forty or so supporters began hand harvesting his 60 acre plot of industrial hemp near Springfield. The miracle plant hasn’t been grown in America on a large scale since patriots were encouraged to do it during World War II. It’s still illegal under asinine federal law, due to the trace amounts of THC that connect it to marijuana. It’s even technically still off limits in Colorado, though that will change next year when the state begins officially registering hemp farmers—progress made possible by Colorado’s model medical pot rules.
