Greetings!
Producing and hosting Far Out Radio is one of the most interesting things we have ever done. Having the program allows us the freedom to be able to reach out to fascinating, informative people.
We’re interested in lots of different approaches to life, belief systems, philosophies, so we like to cover a wide variety of topics. Guests, books, practices and theories that make you go, “Hmmm…”
We’re essentially in the “Infotainment” biz. Every night we dish up information on amazing, thought provoking, unusual, not mainstream topics and keep it entertaining with a light touch, and cool-sweet bumper music.
We have also added for your enjoyment fun features, such as our Far Out YouTube Channel – YouTube videos of some of our programs, Free e-Books, This Week's guest page, an FarOutBlog (Articles) and Far Out News that we feel will be helpful for those trying to make sense of this crazy world.
We won’t hammer you here at Far Out Radio about how god awful things are. I don’t necessarily disagree with most of the voices out there that are SOUNDING THE ALARMS, but let’s set all that on the shelf for at least two hours every evening.
I know for a fact, that people are amazing and they do and create some amazing and fascinating things. The longer I keep looking into the nature of things and the systems that run the world (both obvious and hidden), the more I am convinced that this world is a whole lot more interesting than we can ever imagine.
There’s a great line from the 1990 Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan film, “Joe vs The Volcano” when Ryan’s character is talking about her father while having dinner with Hanks. Meg explains,..
My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement.”
Sages have been saying, probably since the beginning of mankind, that people need to “WAKE UP.” It’s an on going process that every one and every generation has to ferret out for themselves. It seems to me that if we really knew how far-out the world really is, think of how much more interesting Life would be.
It’s our highest hope that Far Out Radio can help, perhaps just a little.
